IMPORTANT NOTES FOR TRAVELERS

  • Embassy Closures: The Embassy will be completely closed on the dates listed above. Consular services, including Indian Passport Renewals, will not be processed during these times.

  • Passport Processing Time: Renewing an Indian passport in Ashgabat typically takes 3–4 weeks. If you are planning a trip to Vietnam, ensure your passport is renewed well in advance.

  • Vietnam E-visa Updates: Once you receive your new passport from the Embassy, you must update your details with VisaOnlineVietnam. Your E-visa and the Mandatory 2026 Digital Arrival QR Code must match your new passport number exactly.

  • Emergency Contact: For life-or-death emergencies involving Indian nationals outside of office hours, the Embassy usually maintains an emergency hotline (check their official site for the 24/7 duty officer number).
